  • As the college basketball season draws to a conclusion, we’ll know which men’s and women’s teams will compete in the NCAA Division I playoffs by Sunday night. Male players will be chosen at 6 p.m. ET, while female players will be chosen at 8 p.m. There will be 68 teams in each event.
  • On Tuesday, the men’s tournament’s First Four round will officially kick off March Madness. For the tournament’s first four seeded teams, the play-in round will decide their fate.
  • There is still a pandemic going on, but the tournaments have returned to a more regular schedule, with various rounds taking place in places around the nation rather than the whole tournament in one area.
  • COVID-19 rules, defining standards for testing and immunisation, were announced by the NCAA earlier this month.
  • You may start constructing your brackets now, and here’s a calendar of upcoming events and other information to help you get started.

The men’s tournament

On Tuesday, the First Four round of the men’s tournament gets underway in Dayton, Ohio. These four contests will come to a conclusion on Wednesday.

  • To begin, there will be a preliminary round of games 17-18 March
  • There will be a second round of games on March 19-20.
  • On March 24-25, the Sweet 16 will be held.
  • On March 26-27, the Elite Eight will take place.
  • April 2 is the date of the semifinals.
  • On the 4th of April in New Orleans, the 2022 champion will be crowned.

The women’s tournament

  • It starts on Wednesday and ends on Thursday for the women’s tournament’s First Four.
  • To begin, there will be a preliminary round of games 18-19 March
  • There will be a second round of games 20-21 March
  • There will be games in the regionals. 25-28, 2014
  • The final four teams will compete in a tournament. April Fool’s Day
  • On April 3 in Minneapolis, the winner of the 2022 competition will be selected.
