  • Amanda Bynes rose to fame as the star of her own Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That and The Amanda Show, the WB sitcom What I Like About You, and films such as the 2010 comedy Easy A. Bynes has also appeared in films such as the 2010 comedy Easy A. However, in 2013, when she was 28 years old, she was put under the supervision of a conservatorship after a series of unpredictable behaviour, including reportedly lighting fire to a driveway. Her attorney, David Esquibias, claims that her parents were concerned about her well-being at the time, and that they did what “seemed like the right thing to do.”
  • Bynes revealed on Twitter the following year that she had been diagnosed with bipolar and manic depressive disorder and that she was taking medication and visiting a psychologist and psychiatrist once a week. A court in Southern California has determined that she is no longer in need of her mother’s care since she has reached the age of 36.
  • Esquibias claims that Bynes has been working on herself for years and has been reporting to the court on a regular basis, and that “all of her hard work has finally paid off.” The termination was approved by her mother, according to him, and he submitted the necessary documents in February to terminate the conservatorship.
  • As a result of another high-profile termination case involving pop diva Britney Spears, which brought attention to the subject of conservatorships, which are normally reserved for persons suffering from dementia or a cognitive handicap, the news was released. “However, Amanda’s conservatorship is in no way comparable to Britney’s conservatorship,” Esquibias said on NPR. “Obtaining Amanda’s conservatorship required Amanda to work in collaboration with her parents. There was no physical conflict between her and her mother or father. Everyone, including Amanda, was collaborating on the project.”
  • He claims that Bynes never resisted having all of her choices made for her by her mother and that she never fought back. “She was aware that it was acting in her best interests, so she gave it permission to do so. And it was successful.”
  • Bynes, according to Esquibias, is thrilled to be continuing her education at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. According to him, “she has been studying marketing and has indicated an interest in starting her own fragrance collection.”
