In the majority of instances, life-saving medications (LSDs) must be administered immediately in order to keep the patient alive and avoid further problems. Health care is a basic human right that must be provided and affordable to everyone at all times, in sufficient quantities, and at a reasonable price. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines life-saving drugs as: treatments that improve health, save lives, and have the greatest effect on lowering morbidity and death. Except for a few pharmaceuticals to prioritise those medicines that may be utilised across healthcare systems, all life-saving medicines are listed in the Essential Medicines List (EML) and WHO treatment recommendations.
