World’s second HIV patient found to be cured without treatment

The world’s second HIV patient has been identified whose body is believed to have eliminated the virus without antiretroviral drugs. Scientists gave this information on last week tuesday. The study, published in the journal ‘Annals of Internal Medicine’, found that analysis of more than 1.5 billion blood and tissue cells from a person living with HIV found no evidence of an intact viral genome of HIV. Scientists have named this person as Esperanza Patient.
