This would be world’s first DNA shot against corona virus. This would be ready to use in adults and children above 12 years of age. This would work on the principle that once the dose is administered the body would fight with the virus itself.

This is the second indigenous vaccine produced in India. This is developed by Zydus Cadila and department of Biotechnology.
Administration
This would be applied with a needle free applicator. The medicine would be administered via a narrow stream of fluid that can penetrate the skin and reach the desired tissue.
How many doses?
This would be delivered in a three dosage system.
Trail and efficacy
The trial was done over 28000 volunteers and has an efficacy rate of 66 percent. This has been tested in young people also. It has been found to be effective against new strain.
Price and affordability
This would be cheaper as compared to other vaccines.
Storage
It has easy storage and handling properties. It has shown stability at 25 degrees C for 3 months. This would help in storage and transportation.
Availability
It would most likely be available by September end.
