On the auspicious occasion of Christmas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation over the rising Omicron scare and made a few announcements regarding the vaccination in the country.
The three announcements of significance are:
- Vaccination for children in the age group of 15-18 years from 3rd January onwards.
This age group covers the children from class 10th class onwards whose schools have started in many places. This would provide protection to the children.

The gap in between the booster and the second dose should be 9months.
