In a fresh move, Switzerland approves Covaxin. The country is open to fully vaccinated Indians now.
After the WHO approved Covaxin(indigenous vaccine of India), many countries have opened the doors for Indians who have been vaccinated with Covaxin.
Earlier Switzerland had opened it borders for all those vaccinated with Covishield from 23rd June 2021. Now people vaccinated with Covaxin can enter the country without having to undergo quarantine. Anybody who has recovered from Covid within six months is also exempted from quarantine.
Now the VFS Global and The Embassy of Switzerland has started accepting application for all types pf Schengen Visas including type C. Type C visa allows entry and stay for up to 90 days within 180 days of issuing.
All the vaccinated travellers can apply for their visa application across VFS global centres like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Cochin and Bengaluru. The guidelines for travel are :
- Children and adolescents need to fill an entry form .This can be included in entry form of the adults travelling with them
- Children travelling with adults are exempted from testing requirements on arrival and within 4-7 days of arrival
People visiting other Schengen countries internally from Switzerland or transiting through any other countries might be restricted , depending upon the travel guidelines of the country.
