PM Modi to launch NationalDigital health mission

PM Modi would launch National digital health mission today via video conferencing. According to this, a unique health id would be provided to every individual that would store all the health information of a person. This would be created using the Aadhar card of a person or the mobile number.

This would create electronic health records for everyone according to NDHM website. This would help doctors to keep a track of all the patients.

It would give cost effective services through trained clinicians. This would further help gather the data necessary for various researches and fields of medicine.
The scheme consists of four main points
Unique health care id
Healthcare professional registry
Health facility registry
Electronic health records

The Id would be generated after collecting various details such as Demographic locations, family, relationships and contact details.
Besides doctors, various other health workers would be included from both modern and traditional health system. It would include both public and private healthcare facilities including hospitals. clinics, laboratories etc.

After the creation of the health ID, the required health information would be taken from the patient and would be linked to their id after the consent from the patient .Personal health record would help the individual keep a track of their health care .This would be one stop destination to know the lab reports, treatment details, discharge summaries etc.

The Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that “This will ensure ease of doing business by citizens and healthcare service providers. Now health is just a click away”.

This program is implemented in a pilot phase in UTS of Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar haveli , Ladakh, Lakshdweep and Puducherry.
