Monkeypox is a serious viral illness starts with like flu and swelling of lymph nodes also spread rashes on face and body .
People who travels to Nigeria CDC has asked Doctors to keep close eyes and report if they found any symptoms in any of travellers , monkeypox come from a strain that is reemerging from Nigeria .
Monkeypox is contagious and having three stages :
- In first stage person is not contagious and it varies from 5 days to 21 days its incubation period
- In second stage person may or may not be contagious and has early symptoms like fever, sore throat , headache and cough , its Prodrome phase.
- In third stage person is contagious and it last for three weeks also person develops rashes on face and body until all the scabs have fallen off
There is no proven treatment for Monkeypox virus but contagious can be managed clinically .
