Maharashtra formulates new travel guidelines amid Omicron scare

A new order has been released by the Government of Maharashtra on 30th November. The order has made it mandatory for all the intrastate travellers to be either fully vaccinated of have a valid RT-PCR test report done 48 hours prior to travel.

Here is a list of new travel guidelines being laid down

For International travellers

  • The state would follow all the restrictions laid by the centre and any future restrictions that would be imposed would act as “minimum restrictions imposed”
  • The passengers would be required to provide a detail of all the countries they visited in the last 15 days. The information provided would be cross checked by immigration on arrival of the passengers.
  • All the passengers from the “risk nations “would have to undergo paid 7 days quarantine.

 For Domestic travellers

  • If you are travelling within Maharashtra: You either have to be fully vaccinated or produce a RT-PCR done within 48 hours of arrivals.
  • If you are travelling from other states, a negative RT-PCR report within 48 hours of travel is mandatory.
