The arrival of August marks the beginning of the festive season in India. There is a surge in the markets and people start travelling more to each other‘s houses. The daily cases have been stable in India since the past two months but the possibility of a third wave cannot be ignored and we should take due precautions during this festive seasons:
- Wear a mask when you step out: It does not matter if other people are not wearing the masks, you as an individual should fulfil your responsibility and not step out of the house without a mask.
- Avoid large social gatherings: The markets would be full and there would be large public gatherings to celebrate the festivities, but if you can, avoid such gatherings, because they would be a ground for the viral transmission.
- Shop online: As far as possible shop online to avoid the crowded markets.
- Limit your home visits: The celebrations are fun with everyone, but it’s best to limit visiting others houses.
- Eat right: Studies have shown that good immunity plays a great role in controlling the infection so do not let your guard down and eat well to keep your health in a better shape .
- Hydrate well: Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day. This would help you to flush out toxins from your body.
- Exercise: Exercising would help you keep your body in shape and boost the immunity.
- Get vaccinated: Data collected during the pandemic has shown lower rate of infection among those who have been vaccinated. So get yourself vaccinated at the soonest.
- Visit a doctor at the soonest if you have any Covid related symptoms.
