Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, Mr. Anshul Garg tweeted that “In view of increasing positivity rate in Jammu, DDMA imposed night curfew from 10pm to 6am from 17th November onwards”
He also warned people that violation of the rules would invite strict action from the administration. He advised people to follow the Covid SOPs and get fully vaccinated. A review of the whole situation was done by district disaster management authority and it indicated that the positivity rate had increased by 0.2 percent. They have seen a steady rise in the cases.
The Chief Medical officer, Jammu shall ensure that testing is carried out in congested areas and potential hotspots.
The total active cases in Jammu are1, 517 and the total death toll reached 4,453
An order issued by the District magistrate said that “All station officers and tehsildars shall ensure that announcements are made on public address systems to make people aware of the new development”
