Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Division Epidemiology and Infectious diseases head Dr. Simran Panda said that right now the scientific evidence from within the Country does not underline the need for a booster dose.
While few experts advised for booster does of Covid-19 vaccine in India , especially for healthcare workers who already have received both doses .
But as per Government , the Centre is right now focusing on full flage coverage of vaccination and also launched HarGharDastak Program.
The Ministry of Health gets guided by Scientific eveidence and also advised by NTAGI, these are the advisory bodies and also considered by Ministry and concerned departments to develop a policy .
So right now the scientific Evidence within the Country Does notshow any need of Booster dose and public health is utmost priority .
