Last week 20kg Marijuana was caught by Bhind police in Madhya Pradesh. The police then registered a case against the executive directors of Amazon India after busting a racket. The group was selling cannabis under the pretext of an artificial sweetener.

Even after this the sale continued and the police was tipped off and they recovered 48kg marijuana from one of Amazon’s partner. FIR was registered under NDPS act. The police also arrested two Amazon delivery guys.
CAIT (Confederation of All India Traders) said that an action should be taken against it. CAIT national President B.C Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal have demanded that government should suspend the Amazon’s operations in the country. They urged an immediate intervention by the Prime minister in this matter.
They have demanded the commerce minister Piyush Goyal to release e-commerce rules so that the conduct and sale at these platforms could be regulated.
