⚫ Tips to stay positive :-

✅Avoid negative news. Avoid finding corona related news in the media at all times. Schedule a time to watch the news.

✅Create a regular routine. Whether you are in home isolation or work from home. Keep the routine the same as when you were going out for work.

✅Get plenty of sleep. Do not consume tea and coffee before bed. Read a good book or listen to music. Do not try to force yourself to sleep, do not go to bed until you feel sleepy.

✅Exercise regularly. This causes the secretion of endorphins in the brain, which helps in reducing stress.

✅Stay connected with family, relatives and friends. Create social distance, not emotional. Keep asking for their well being regularly. Keep sharing your concerns with others and listen to them.

✅Read positive literature and inspirational episodes. Take a nutritious, protein rich diet. Stay away from drugs or any kind of intoxication.

⚫ What should be done to prevent excessive stress?

1) Make a list of things or events that you have control over, like masking. Distinguish those who are not in control, such as from data on increasing infection.

2) Have a feeling of gratitude. Keep in mind the positive things and show gratitude to life for that.

3) Practice of mindfulness. Focus on the apprehension or fear that is bothering you. Do not run away from them. Focus on it and its effect will gradually reduce.

4) Write negative thoughts. Identify mistakes in thoughts such as – assuming yourself responsible for everything or finding out the wrong meaning of every incident etc.

5) Do deep breathing exercises. Focus on breathing. Inhale slowly. Perform diaphragmatic breathing exercises. Fill the stomach with air and release slowly.

6) Say inspirational things to others. Make people hopeful. It also reduces your frustration.

7) Try to learn a new skill like an instrument. Try to learn something new everyday.
