The heat wave is over and the temperatures have started dipping. We all await the arrival of winters soon. Our skin needs a lot of care during winters, so we are here with some tips to keep your skin healthy.
- Hydrate yourself well: The urge to drink water is less in winters. But, water is highly important for the skin, so keep drinking fluids. Indulge in warm drinks, and sip small amounts of water after short interval of time.
- Moisturise your skin: The skin becomes dry and flaky during winters, so make sure that you moisturise it well in morning after bathing or washing and before sleeping as well. Use an oil based moisturiser.
- Taking care of lips: Dry and chapped lips are a common problem during winters. Make sure you apply lip balm whenever you feel dryness around the lips.
- Wear your sunscreen: Even if the sunlight is not as bright and penetrating as winters, it can still harm your skin, so always remember to wear your sunscreen before you step out.
- Exfoliate: Exfoliate dead skin with the help of a mild scrubber and moisturise it after that.
- Taking care of your hands: With the arrival of the pandemic, we often sanitise our hands more. This leads to leeching out of the moisture from our skin. Use a good hand cream and use it frequently during the day.
- Limit your shower time : The warm winter showers take away most of the natural moisture from the skin, so reduce your shower time and take bath with water at moderate temperature .
