Cipla healthcare has launched an antiviral spray called Naselin which has Povidine -Iodine. This has properties that can offer defence against SARS- COVID virus.
The company has claimed that this has been launched after thorough research and it can offer protection against COVID virus. Covid is a respiratory disease that spreads via airway. This spray can help provide effective protection against the virus.
Povidine-Iodine has been used to clean the wounds, as mouth gargles and in various antiseptic ointments. The chemical has antibacterial and antiviral properties. The spray can potentially be used by frontline workers daily.
The CEO, Cipla Healthcare quoted that “Is is one of the most innovative and effective product formulations for preventive care against corona virus. Adding Naselin Antiviral spray to our regular routine along with washing hands and maintaining social distancing can definitely help us to fight this pandemic together “”
This would initially be made available across Apollo and Medplus Pharmacies in Maharashtra , Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The 15ml bottle would be priced at Rs 99.
