Winter storm issued for Pittsburgh area, heavy snowfall possible, A winter storm watch has been issued across western Pennsylvania by the National Weather Service, which is starting from late Friday night and continuing through late Saturday night.
These are the areas are expected to affected Allegheny, Armstrong, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Venango, Washington,Beaver, Butler, Clarion, and Westmoreland counties are included in the winter storm watch.

Pittsburgh’s Action Weather meteorologist said an approaching storm will bring rain from Friday evening, with snow fall taking over after 9 p.m at night. and steady snowfall around midnight could be possible. Around 7 a.m. Saturday, areas east and south of Pittsburgh should still see some steady snow.

The National Weather Service has also issued a advisory about winter storm for most of the region in Pittsburgh which would starts from Friday night till Saturday Afternoon.

Up to 6 inches of snow is to be expected in the blanket the region, and 3 to 5 inches in the city area.

The weather service has also warned about the storm which is expected to bring strong winds along with its in parts of the region, which will cause lowering visibility, slippery and hazardous roads for traveling conditions.
