66 medical students have turned positive for Covid 19 in Dharwad , Karnataka. The students were fully vaccinated. The two hostels have been sealed for precaution. The students have been quarantined and nobody is allowed to step out of the hostel.
Some students had mild symptoms like cough and cold and others had no symptom at all. This was found when 300 students of SDM college of Medical were tested for the infection.100 students were not tested. After these students have turned positive, the rest of them would also be tested for the Covid 19 virus soon.
Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad Dinesh Patil said that these numbers could go up since the students had participated in a college event recently. All the positive students are from first year.
Recently 11 students of a school in Udaipur tested positive.
