As the name suggest bone marrow , is a tissue which found within the bone cavity .
There are two types of bone marrow
- Red bone Marrow
Red Bone Marrow found in Vertebra, Sternum, Ribs, Scapula and Pevis.
Red bone marrow is very useful in production of Red Blood Cells ( RBC), White Blood Cells (WBC), Platelets .
RBC is very important since its carryingOxygenated blood to every parts of Organ
WBC provides immunity and fight against various diseases
Platelets is clear fluid which contains essential micro nutrient
- Yellow Bone Marrow
Yellow bone marrows its found in the medullary cavity in the bone , surrounded by red bone marrow .
Yellow bone marrow it is mostly contains Fat, Cartilage, tissue etc.
Yellow bone marrow play a crucial role during life threatening, since yellow bone marrow can converts to Red bone marrow.
As we know red bone marrow is production house for RBC, WBC, Platelet, it can save life from severe blood loss, and fight against infection for long bed ridden patients.
Bone marrow transplantation is very important for life saving from diseases like leukemia ,thalesemiaetc which is widely used for cancer treatments
