A statement about his health status was released by the doctors from the hospital and it ended the speculations about his hospital stay. The actor would be discharged after a few days, said the doctors.

What is carotid artery revascularisation?

Carotid Artery supplies blood to head and neck region. Sometimes, plaque like deposits sits on the artery walls and cause blockage. As plaque thickens the artery becomes narrow restricting the blood flow

Carotid artery revascularisation is a less invasive procedure where an incision is placed above the clavicle and a tube is placed into the carotid artery that temporarily directs the blood flow away from brain. This way the dangerous plaque could not reach the brain during the procedure. This blood would be filtered outside the body. The filtered blood would be returned to the body.

A stent is placed during the procedure which would help in preventing strokes .After this reversal blood flow is stopped and the normal blood flow continues.
