India has hit a new milestone today. Over a 100crore Indians have been vaccinated. India took less than 300 days to reach this mark.
Here is how we achieved different milestones
85 days – 10 Crore mark
45 more days – 20 Crore mark
29 more days – 30 Crore mark
24 more days -40 Crore mark
20 more days- 50 Crore mark
76 more days -100 Crore mark
Initially the vaccination was available for only health workers. With time and increases availability, this vaccination program was extended to the rest of the population,
The health ministry would be launching a song and an audio –visual film at the Mughal –Era ,Red Fort in New Delhi to celebrate the milestone.
The government intends to vaccinate the whole adult population this year. The statistics reveal that 75percent got their first dose and 31 percent got both the doses.
